Wrapping up EOFY, the Outcomex team would like to take the opportunity to look back on the past year’s success and see how much we have grown in terms of not only achievements, but also how we have solidified a great team full of brilliant minds.

What’s happening in Outcomex?

Awards and achievements

The Outcomex team has achieved a lot this year, we are proud of the awards we have obtained.

Over the past year, Outcomex seen a 33% increase in our customer base, giving us the opportunity to expand our capabilities and provide the best service to more organisations all over the world. 

Thanks to our team of driven individuals, we have also been able to hit and exceed our sales target by 36%! We are grateful to our team who made this happen, and our customers who have entrusted us and contributed to our success.

Security

This year we also launched new security offering pages displaying our end-to-end solutions including:

• Essential Eight

Internet of Things (IoT) 

Not only is Outcomex going global, but so are our decks! Our IoT sector is branching out with its first international expo in NAMPO, South Africa. We had our South African partners proudly represent and display Farmdeck – our IoT solution for farming and agriculture.  

Outcomex has acquired a manufacturing site in New Zealand! In this space, our New Zealand team will further develop our IoT capabilities and expand our horizons. We are looking to launch it next year, stay tuned for more updates on this.

They have also been working on some new decks! Our team is currently working on Greenmesh, an IoT solution which focuses on workplace safety – allowing monitoring over hazards regarding the use of:  

• Heavy machinery 
• Correct use of PPE gear
• Other potential hazards around construction and mining sites 

Broadsecure is another new deck – a cloud-based video surveillance solution which utilises AI/ML technology, and can be used across multiple industries including agriculture, smart cities, health care and aged care, retail, and many more.

Outcomex has also expanded the Sydney office with a 320m ² space which will be launched in 2024 – our Staging, Research and Innovation Hub where our engineers can test codes, experiment with new equipment and explore new IoT sensors.

Looking back

While the team had a busy year, we always made time to set aside work and engage in office social events such as: 

• International Women’s Day 
• Bring Your Kids to work day for the Easter holidays  
• Biggest Morning Tea  
• National Pyjama Day  
• Our monthly team lunches in the Sydney office 

In August 2023, our managed services and engineering teams held a Capture the Flag event hosted by Exabeam in the Sydney office to help the service desk team triage Security Operations Centre tickets and bond with each other.

Also, we are not like other IT companies… In 2022, Outcomex launched a TikTok account! Be sure to follow our page @outcomexaus to see our latest updates, and some entertaining IT content.

In June 2023, we launched our Flagship Security Series – in conjunction with Cisco, promoting our security capabilities by inviting customers to inform them on the latest key insights in the security scene.

We have launched our first event in our series in Sydney which was held at Capella Hotel. This exclusive invite only event brings together like-minded C-level leaders to discuss and share ideas around current security topics. This will be an ongoing bi-annual event hosted by both Outcomex and Cisco’s security experts.

What is to come 

In 2024, the Outcomex team’s goals are: 

• Launch a new managed services offerings including Essential 8 and Cyber Protection. 
• A new manufacturing site in New Zealand and see where our sensors are being produced and tested. 
• Introduce new IoT capabilities along with customer facing innovations – not only in Australia but also some IoT solutions and hardware to be deployed globally 
• A grand opening for our new Melbourne office which is in the making! This new office is spacious and brimming with opportunity to help facilitate our team as our Southern region grows, and boast a huge range of technology capabilities.  
• Maintaining our team and culture through a temperate economic outlook.
