How Outcomex, NAB, and Cisco are working together to help SMB’s

In November 2019, Outcomex has partnered with National Australia Bank (NAB) to provide the bank’s 400,000-plus small business customers with Cisco’s Umbrella cloud security platform.

The Cisco Umbrella offering is aimed at helping NAB’s small business customers better protect their operating systems and provides first line defence against cyber threats with the product being offered at a special preferential price.

Whilst the initiative is NAB-led, customers procure Umbrella through a purchasing, licensing and service delivery portal built by Outcomex. Customers also have the opportunity to procure our own Outcomex managed security services around Cisco Umbrella.

Outcomex was chosen for this partnership as we’re the only Cisco Master Security Partner in Australia. Outcomex was also the first systems integrator to achieve this specialization in ANZ in 2018. In addition, recognising our excellence in this architecture, Cisco has awarded Outcomex ‘ANZ Best Security Partner‘ three times; in 2016, 2019, and 2020.

According to NAB’s Chief customer officer, Business and Private Banking, Anthony Healy: “Cybercrime costs the Australian economy more than $1 billion annually and half of all cybercrime is targeted at small businesses”.
